Do you have plans for your Malamutes in case of an emergency? Some shelters do not accept Malamutes, so having a plan ahead of time is essential to your Malamute's survival.
- Have a safe place to take your Malamutes. Don't leave them behind. Prepare a list of boarding facilities who can shelter a Malamute in an emergency. Preferably somewhere away from where you live.
- Assemble a portable Malamute disaster supplies kit. This should include medical records, leashes, Malamute carriers, food, water, etc.
- Place an additional Malamute tag on your Malamute's collar with information from the boarding facility.
